With a Bespoke Movement Assessment, you get 1-1 attention to the underlying postural habits that are keeping you in pain, less mobile, and held back in your strength goals.

We are always training our bodies by the way we sit, stand, walk, eat, drive, scroll through our phones - you name it. Over time, we all end up with habits that can leave us feeling scrunched up and sore, or contribute to feeling like we can’t reach our movement goals and we’re not sure why.

In these 1-1 neuromuscular repatterning sessions, I’ll take you through a series of gentle but targeted movements designed to pinpoint any habits that are contributing to your specific movement issues- from aches and pains to goal skills to pre-hab and injury recovery needs. Think of these as a spot treatment for your movement life - we’ll get deep and uncover the root of the issue that’s making you feel off or getting in the way of your movement life. From there we’ll make a plan for you to feel more supported by and in harmony with your body, from daily skills to bigger movement dreams. As we go through the assessment, we’ll talk about what I’m seeing, keeping you in the loop from the start so you don’t feel like a bug in a jar. At the end, you’ll walk away with a greater understanding of your body and feeling loose and yummy like you’ve just had a massage.

You’ll also get a bespoke 15 minute daily movement routine to take with you that addresses the habits we’ve uncovered in your session, and build new habits that make the work we’ve done last in the long term. These routines are gentle enough to be done right out of bed in the morning, or as a way to settle down to sleep at night- but when done consistently they make powerful changes that last.

On top of all of that, these body assessments come with a 1/2 hour follow up session with me so you can ask any questions or tweak your routine once it’s been lived-in for a few weeks!

What is Neuromuscular repatterning?

Neuromuscular Repatterning is a technique developed by master Kinesiologist and author of “Therapeutic Kinesiology” and “Somatic Repatterning” Mary Ann Foster. It works with joint and postural health from the inside-out, starting with our deepest brain-to-body connections and addressing movement habits and joint sequencing to make changes that stick. The form of neuromuscular repatterining that I practice comes from working closely with Mary Ann for years applying neuromuscular repatterining to professional acrobats. I was able to learn from her wisdom and methods, and then infuse that knowledge to the lifelong skill base I have as a professional movement artist, acrobat and body nerd so that I can help folks with high performance needs in the dance and circus world. Along the way, I discovered that folks in chronic pain, neurodivergent folks, and those in ED recovery also benefit from this work - basically, anyone whose body needs a lot of care and attention. This type of work combines gentle movements with long-term noticeable changes not in the what of your body, but in the how- and that’s where the magic is. I live for that “holy crap, it doesn’t hurt anymore!” moments, for the “Wow I didn’t think I would ever be able to do this skill!” moments, and for the “I thought I’d just have to live with this, and now it’s not even an issue!” moments.
